Social Agency Prepares Aid for Flood Victims

The Jakarta Social Agency has prepared the aid needed for flood victims as one of the anticipatory steps to face the upcoming rainy season.

Even, logistical and public kitchens have also been alerted and can certainly be used by citizens in need or affected.

Jakarta Social Agency Head Irmansyah said the disaster alert posts have also been set up in five areas. They are located at the East Jakarta Mayor's Office (East Jakarta), Jalan AM Sangaji (Central Jakarta), Jalan Margaguna (South Jakarta), the West Jakarta Mayor's Office (West Jakarta) and the Jakarta Islamic Center (North Jakarta).

"Based on the coordination results, rainy season will hit our city by the end of this month. We are ready for it, including logistics," he stressed, Thursday (10/10).

His side also prepares all human resources, starting from the state civil apparatuses (ASN), PJLPs and Tagana to help citizens when needed.

"We have 1,600 personnel of Tagana. They will be supported with the ASN and PJLP totaling about 750 people. We're also ready to provide psychosocial support to people who are traumatized," he stated.
